Constellation Software buys IDS from Brunswick

Canadian-based Constellation Software, through its wholly-owned subsidiary Constellation Homebuilders Systems, acquired the shares of Integrated Dealer Systems from Brunswick Corp.

"Brunswick's IDS software division is the proven market leader of software to the RV and marine dealership verticals in North America," said Dexter Salna, president of CHS, in a statement. "IDS will join Constellation Automotive Systems, in CHS's newly formed Dealership Management segment."

Daniel Zinman, general manager of CHS's Dealer Management group, says the acquisition "helps extend our footprint into two adjacent markets where we can apply our proven best practices."
