Monte Carlo Yachts names new Miami dealer

Monte Carlo Yachts continues its North American expansion, with Apex Marine becoming a new dealer for the Miami area. Apex has service operations in Stuart, Pompano Beach, Miami and Key Largo. Apex Marine’s Miami River operation recently invested in a new haulout pocket, as well as a new 150-ton marine lift to accommodate yachts such as MCY’s new 96 and 105.

“Monte Carlo Yachts customers can expect to receive world class service when doing business with Apex Marine,” said Issy Perera, founder and owner of Apex Marine in a statement. “It’s the foundation upon which Apex Marine was established. Great customer service brings repeat customers."

HCB names new partner

HCB Center Console Yachts said it signed Jefferson Beach Yacht Sales as part of its new factory partner business model. HCB said its Annex Program has grown this year with the addition of several factory partners in key markets.

“Our intense focus on the customer has been a central component of our business from the start. This mixes nicely with the business style of JBYS,” CEO Elias De La Torre III said in a statement. “It is partnerships with retailers like them that help us make the purchase and service process as seamless and top shelf as possible. It’s also a great addition as we continue raising positive awareness of the HCB brand.”

“We’ve been serving the Great Lakes yacht buyer for two generations, and we find HCB’s business philosophy to be consistent with today’s discerning buyer,” said Jefferson Beach Yacht Sales president Amy Krueger Malow in the statement. “It’s a valuable, high-touch approach that owners will appreciate, and the aggressive HCB product offerings are certain to give our buyers something very exciting and different to consider.”

Brig Boats signs 15 dealers

Brig USA, the U.S. distributor of Brig RIBs, has signed 15 dealers in the past 11 months. The company said in a statement it is now the Ukraine builder’s second-largest distributor.

Brig USA started with two dealerships, Sirocco Marine-Fort Lauderdale and Sirocco Marine-Annapolis. It has since added Sirocco Marine-Lake Erie in Marblehead, Ohio, and Sirocco Marine-West Florida in Punta Gorda. These four dealerships are flagship facilities licensed through Brig USA.

Mercury partners with Dealer Spike

Dealer Spike and Mercury Marine have partnered to enhance the online presence of Mercury-authorized dealerships in the United States. Dealer Spike is a software-as-a-service company that helps clients increase leads and sales online. Dealer Spike said in a statement that Mercury dealers would have access to the newest imagery for product releases and spec data for all inventory units, fully integrated with their websites.

“Dedicated customer solutions agents are accessible at any time to provide assistance associated with online showrooms. Dealer Spike's experts in digital marketing provide consultation and advice to help dealers best advertise businesses online,” the statement said.

Dealerships will also have access to co-op opportunities offered by Mercury.

Administrative abilities on the back end of Dealer Spike websites are easy to access for dealers who prefer hands-on management. The company said its support team is available to help dealers. Dealer Spike also offers pay-per-click advertising, marketing automation, advanced search engine optimization strategies, and a full suite of online advertising tools.

Wilson Marine opens new location

Wilson Marine opened a new location in Wixom, Mich. A statement said the new facility will include a showroom with 75-plus boats, an accessories/parts department and some service work initially. It carries Bayliner, Apex, Bennington, Rinker, Hurricane and other brands.

Wilson Marine has locations in Brighton, Howell, Commerce Township and Harrison Township. The company now has five showrooms and four service locations.

Blue Guard names Canadian distributor

Blue Guard Innovations appointed Stright-MacKay Ltd. as its distributor in the Canadian Maritimes. BGI said in a statement that it has developed an innovative, patented range of solid-state smart switches and sensors that are able to detect water, as well as oil and fuel spills, in the bilge and engine compartments, preventing them from accidentally discharging overboard.

These products will be introduced at the International BoatBuilders’ Exhibition and Conference Oct. 2-4 in Tampa, Fla.
