Marilyn DeMartini announced that her agency, PR Power, will represent Cigarette Racing Team, handling press and public relations for the South Florida-based builder of custom performance powerboats.

DeMartini previously worked with Cigarette for five years.

"We have always had a great relationship," said Skip Braver, president and CEO of Cigarette Racing Team, in a statement. "Marilyn and her team understand Cigarette and its unique position in this industry. As she has grown her agency, she is in an even better position to take on the challenges of this market."

PR Power is a Fort Lauderdale-based firm that grew from DeMartini's freelance writing and public relations business. Though many of her clients remain marine-based, she has diversified into other businesses.

"Our goal is to spread the word about Cigarette's continued success and innovation in the industry," said DeMartini, in a statement. "These are tough times in the marine industry as well as other business, but Cigarette will rise above it because it is strong and smartly managed."
