The company is focusing on growing its global presence through long-term product development now that a recent investment in its Corby manufacturing facility is near completion.

Gaskell has been a non-executive director on Fairline’s board since 2012. His previous positions include managing director of Porsche Cars GB Ltd. and BMW GB.

“Having supported the strong development of the company over the last year I was delighted to accept the board’s invitation to lead a brand with such a strong heritage,” Gaskell said in a statement. “I am excited about our new products and plans and look forward to delivering our vision for the future of Fairline to our customers and partners.”

“The shareholders, Better Capital LLC and Royal Bank of Scotland PLC are delighted to announce Kevin as CEO of Fairline Boats Ltd.,” board chairman Peter Williamson said in a statement. “His extensive experience working with premium luxury brands puts him in great stead to lead Fairline Boats into what will undoubtedly be an exciting future.”
