Ferretti Group adds member to product-strategy team

The Ferretti Group announced that Piero Ferrari, deputy chairman of Ferrari S.p.A, joined the group’s new product strategy team.

The move was announced during the China International Boat Show 2013, which was held April 11-14 in Shanghai at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Center.

Ferrari’s appointment is part of a wider management development project aiming to strengthen the group’s international development and meet increasingly complex challenges in terms of global presence and sustainable growth.

The main objective of the creation of the new product strategy team is to analyze the leading global market trends and to define the Ferretti Group’s best brand and product strategies for each market.

The Ferretti Group will rely on the experience that Ferrari, an engineer, has gained through his years in the development of R&D-driven luxury products.

The Ferretti Group decided to officially announce the creation of its new team in Shanghai to pay tribute to its close relationship with China, further strengthened by the group’s strategic partnership with the Weichai Group.

“I am sure that the creation of the new team — that will also include other managers of our group boasting a long-standing experience and a long series of important achievements in the boating sector — will play a key role in further strengthening our group and boosting our growth at a global level over the next few years, at a time when we are faced with increasingly demanding challenges.”
