Glastron celebrated its 55th anniversary last week with more than 70 North American dealers and international distributors from across 14 countries.

Dealers and distributors were presented the new line, as well as new business programs, an industry outlook and an overall state-of-the-business report for Rec Boat Holdings and the Glastron brand.

For 2012, the company plans to launch a new GT 160 and four models designated Collector’s Limited Edition boats; only 55 of each of the limited-edition boats will be produced for this model year.

“The dealers at the meeting this week are extremely excited with the potential sales opportunity. The industry has been looking for a true differentiating product, and our network confirms we are poised to place Glastron prominently on the map with the GT 160,” Rec Boat group president Roch Lambert said in a statement.

Rec Boat, a subsidiary of Platinum Equity Affiliates’ PBH Marine Group, owns the Four Winns, Glastron and Wellcraft brands.
