Florida-based Golden Boat Lifts said it launched Golden Marine Systems, a separate dock manufacturing company.

Michael Shanley was named president of Golden Marine Systems, which the company said designs, engineers and manufactures state-of-the-art custom floating aluminum docks and gangways.

Leveraging the American Welding Society-certified workforce of ISO 9001-certified Golden Boat Lifts, the new company's products are built using marine-grade aluminum and stainless steel.

Shanley is a 35-year marina industry veteran. Committed to the environment, he is the chairman of the Florida Clean Boating Partnership.

"Michael has a great reputation throughout the national boating community, especially in the marina industry," CEO Bill Golden said in a statement. "His knowledge and experience will be a great asset to our company and clients worldwide."
