Martin Schemkes was named brand director of Delphia, Groupe Beneteau said in a statement.

Schemkes has been with Groupe Beneteau for more than 20 years, leading sales management for both Jeanneau and Prestige in central and northern Europe. Trained as a marine engineer, he has prior experience with engine manufacturers as well as boatbuilders.

In an interview with Trade Only Today, Gianguido Girotti, deputy CEO of product strategy at Groupe Beneteau, said that Delphia was being “completely repositioned with a dedicated offer of cruising powerboats intended for rivers, lakes and other inland waters [and would] include electric propulsion and also other smart innovations on board.”

The brand continues to develop its new e-powered models, explained Schemkes, offering “a true escape to your home on the water with reduced environmental impact thanks to its specific equipment and the use of electric propulsion.”
