Groupe Beneteau has named Yann Masselot the CEO of Construction Navale Bordeaux. He takes over from Dieter Gust, who will continue as chairman of the board of directors of the Groupe Beneteau division.

Masselot joined Groupe Beneteau 25 years ago. He has held several positions in Construction Navale Bordeaux since 1999, most recently deputy CEO. Masselot is a graduate of IEA Paris — Institute of European Affairs and has an MBA from Audencia Business School.

The company said in a statement that the promotion is in line with the “gradual transition” planned by Gust after 31 years as chairman and CEO of Construction Navale Bordeaux.

The facility, created in 1987, builds the Lagoon and CNB brands.

“I have every confidence in Yann Masselot’s leadership and expertise to ensure that our Lagoon and CNB yacht brands achieve their goals and successfully launch our new catamaran brand Excess,” Hervé Gastinel, Groupe Beneteau CEO, said in the statement.
