Gunboat International said its Gunboat 55 received high accolades this year, winning Sail Magazine’s 2015 Best Boat, Cruising World’s 2015 Domestic Boat of the Year and the People’s Choice Award for best product at the Newport (R.I.) International Boat Show, where the boat debuted.

Judging for the Cruising World award took place during the United States Sailboat Show in Annapolis in October — a thorough dockside walkthrough that was followed by sea trials in the days immediately after the show. The Gunboat 55 won in two categories: Domestic Boat of the Year for Sailing World and Best Multihull Cruiser for Cruising World.

Gunboat founder and CEO Peter Johnstone gave his "heartfelt gratitude to the entire Gunboat team for this major effort and milestone" in a statement and praised Gunboat owners and crew for their "ongoing faith, support and encouragement.”
