Hinckley Delivers First 35
Hinckley Yachts have launched and delivered Hull #1 of its Hinckley 35, the Maine builder said in a statement.
The Michael Peters-designed vessel is set to debut at the 50th Newport International Boat Show, which runs Sept. 16-19.
“This new model is a true Hinckley in every respect,” said sales and marketing vice president Scott Bryant. “She was designed from Day #1 as an outboard-powered craft, with an optimized hull shape and chines and strakes designed to provide added lift and stability.”
The 35 is powered by standard 300-hp outboards from Mercury or Yamaha. With optional 350-hp powerplants, the 35 is good for a reported top speed of nearly 42 knots.
Like all Hinckleys, the 35 features Infused Carbon Epoxy construction for a single chemical bond between hull and support structures, which Hinckley says delivers superior hull strength and is a more environmentally friendly construction process.
“With Michael Peters’ help, we have created an exclusive, heirloom-quality boat that enthusiasts of the yachting lifestyle will want to keep in their family forever,” said Bryant.
Hinckley said that 12 of the 35-footers have been sold since the boat was announced last fall.
