IBBI gives out supplier awards

The Independent Boat Builders Inc. handed out awards last week during the group’s annual purchasing conference in St. Louis.

Supplier of the Year awards went to Alcan Baltek, GEM Products, and Universal Products. The companies were chosen by IBBI members for their product quality, customer service, delivery, technical service, accurate invoicing, and warranty administration.

IBBI also presented Outstanding Partner Awards to the following companies that narrowly missed out on the top awards: AIM Supply, Composites One, and EPCO Marine Products.

Last week’s conference also included a presentation on testing from the group’s technical committee on resin, gelcoat, catalyst, putty and core materials. The testing results reviewed will be used to help select sponsored IBBI suppliers.
