UCINA honored Nuvolari Lenard for the firm’s designs, which include this 216-foot Turquoise yacht.

Nuvolari Lenard received the Nautical Pioneer Award June 17 at the Salone Accessori TECnologie conference by UCINA, the Italian marine industry association.

The studio has led both interior and exterior yacht design on an international scale.

“We are grateful and pleased by UCINA’s recognition for our work,” Carlo Nuvolari, co-founder of Nuvolari Lenard, said in a statement. “We are particularly honored that its 27th annual award ceremony took place in our beloved Venice, where Nuvolari Lenard has had its design studio for nearly 25 years.”

The studio has wide-ranging and diverse yachts in build at several world-class builders, such as Lürssen, Oceanco, CRN, Monte Carlo Yachts, Adler Yachts and Beneteau.

Versatile in its approach to design, Nuvolari Lenard’s projects span the gamut from semiproduction yachts, such as the entire line at Monte Carlo Yachts, to a 344-foot environmentally advanced sailing yacht at Oceanco and a 456-foot ultra-custom motoryacht at Lürssen.

Several Nuvolari Lenard-designed yachts will be on display at the Cannes Yachting Festival Sept. 6-11 and the Monaco Yacht Show Sept. 28-Oct. 1.

Both senior partners, designer Dan Lenard and naval architect/engineer Carlo Nuvolari will be at the shows.
