Jester Communications, a developer of Web-based marketing solutions for the maritime industry, was awarded contracts to build mobile device applications for boatbuilders Jeanneau and Prestige Yachts.
Leveraging the Apple iPad platform, the preloaded apps will allow dealers to showcase and present the Jeanneau and Prestige brands to potential customers as an interactive personalized marketing experience. The apps will include information on boat models such as specifications, video galleries, virtual tours, dealer and company information and a geo-based dealer locator.
The new apps for Jeanneau and Prestige will be based on the apps previously developed by Jestercom for Beneteau USA for its sail and power divisions.
“We were very impressed with the mobile app Jestercom developed for Beneteau and we asked them to create a similar sales tool dedicated to our Jeanneau and Prestige dealers,” Maryline O'Shea, marketing manager for Prestige in the United States, said in a statement. “We believe this powerful, yet intuitive interface will help our dealers sell more effectively in today’s challenging market.”
A major new feature is the boat configurator, which includes customization and upgrade selections, pricing and financing options. Additional improvements include enhanced functionality and suites of sales tools for dealers, incorporating brochures, spec sheets, sea trial reports, videos, equipment lists, reviews and links to learning resources.
