Aluminum boat manufacturer Lowe Boats said it reached 2 million hours without a lost time accident on July 27.

The company said the core team of Lowe hourly employees will begin planning a celebration in honor of the milestone.

"It's with great pride that I congratulate our team for this accomplishment," said Ben Cast, Lowe Boats president, in a statement. "The safety and well-being of our employees are certainly our highest concerns. Through a shared commitment among the entire Lowe team we've been able to maintain the highest standards of safety and productivity, even as we continue to expand our diverse product lineup.”
