Malibu Boats marks 30th anniversary

Malibu Boats is celebrating its 30th anniversary with three special-edition boats that will be on display for the first time this weekend at the Malibu Open in Milwaukee.

The three anniversary boats are the Response TXi, the Wakesetter 20 VTX and the Wakesetter 23 LSV, according to Malibu.

"We've pulled out all the stops for these models, with the addition of pearl metal flake and special touches throughout the boat that bring style to our celebration of Malibu. We think our customers will love owning a unique boat and a piece of history," Malibu CEO Jack Springer said in a statement.

The Malibu Open, which takes place at Milwaukee's lakefront Veteran's Park Lagoon on Aug. 3-4, features top professional water skiers who will compete behind the Response TXi in slalom and jumping events for a $65,000 prize. The event, which is free to the public, will also feature exhibitions that include freestyle jumping, barefooting, hydrofoiling, show skiing and trick skiing.

Malibu Boats has manufacturing facilities in California, Tennessee and Australia.
