March sales data for all fiberglass boats was down 35.8 percent, including PWC.

These preliminary statistics include 28 early reporting states, which represent approximately 62 percent of the national market. Only states that provide weekly or monthly information are included in this summary. Percentage change is presented on a calendar-year basis to reflect actual results. The Coast Guard Documented Vessels file was complete for the period.

  • Fiberglass boats in the 14- to 30-foot segment were down 38.5 percent for the month.
  • PWC sales decreased 36.5 percent.
  • Aluminum boats sales fell by 17.2 percent.

Aluminum sales for the month showed a much slower rate of decline compared to the other segments. Hopefully this trend will continue in northern states that report quarterly.
