Marine Travelift names new president

Marine Travelift promoted Erich Pfeifer to president and chief operating officer, the company announced.

Pfeifer is succeeding Steve Pfeifer, who will remain Marine Travelift's CEO and will continue to serve the company in a strategic and advisory role.

Erich Pfeifer joined Marine Travelift in 2003 as sales manager and was promoted to sales director of the Americas and then vice president of business development and marketing.

The Sturgeon Bay, Wis.-based company manufactures mobile boat hoists, marine forklifts, self-propelled transporters and other related marine lifting products.


Senator visits Tiara Yachts

Sen. Gary Peters, D-Mich., toured the Tiara Yachts headquarters in Holland, Mich., to meet the workers and learn about the impact of the company on the local economy, as well as the impact of boating on a state and national level.
