Beneteau SA has terminated the executive powers of Carla Demaria as head of Monte Carlo Yachts SpA as of November 10. A shareholders’ meeting of Monte Carlo Yachts will be held November 21 for the purpose of removing her from her position as chairperson and member of the board of directors for the Italian yacht manufacturer that is part of Groupe Beneteau.

According to a statement from Groupe Beneteau, there have been “numerous disagreements with the group and Mrs. Demaria during the last two fiscal years. This has resulted in serious strategic disagreements between Ms. Demaria and the controlling shareholder of Monte Carlo Yachts.”

In the statement, the parent corporation added that it is committed to supporting the Monte Carlo Yachts brand and that it will launch three new models this season.
