Monterey Boats held its annual national sales summit Nov. 30-Dec. 1 in Tampa, Fla.
The event at the Marriott Waterside Hotel & Marina drew more than 120 people and more than 30 dealerships.
There were on-site display models on land and in the water and dealers were able to see new features for the 2016 model year. This year’s training session included the new 218SS and 238SS Roswell Surf Editions as part of the displays.
With Monterey’s staff of professional wakesurfers on hand to instruct and demonstrate, the models gave dealers the opportunity to experience the newest member of the Monterey family up close. The new-for-2016 258SS also was part of the in-water display.
During the presentation portion of the sales conference, Monterey regional sales managers presented information and suggestions about how to highlight and align the sales process with the customer’s buying process.
Volvo Penta and Mercury Marine also provided portions of the presentations, giving insight into the new engine lineups that both companies are offering for 2016.
Water Sports Industry Association director Larry Meddock and assistant WSIA director Kevin Michael made an educational presentation.
