Nautique receives manufacturing honor in Florida

The Nautique Boat Co. accepted the 2017 Florida Sterling Manufacturing Business Excellence Award on Friday in Orlando.

The Nautique Boat Co. accepted the 2017 Florida Sterling Manufacturing Business Excellence Award on Friday in Orlando in the category of companies with more than 200 employees.

The company said the Sterling Awards are presented each year by the governor of Florida to organizations private and public that demonstrate superior management approaches and role-model results.

Nautique said it achieved the award on the basis of six criteria — leadership, strategic planning, customer and market focus, measurement, analysis and knowledge management, workforce and operations.

"The Nautique team is honored to be recognized by the Sterling Council for our continuous efforts to be a leading manufacturer in the state of Florida, home to over 18,000 manufacturers,” Nautique president Greg Meloon said in a statement.

“Our team is more determined than at any time during our 92-year history to provide our customers with the highest-quality products and an unparalleled experience.”
