Finnish luxury performance yacht builder Nautor's Swan reports a better than anticipated 2010, a year that saw the manufacturer reinvigorate its presence in the United States.

The company reports that more than 30 percent of its revenues this year came from the U.S.

"The U.S.A. has long been an important, but a sometimes difficult market for Nautor's Swan and the upturn in orders has given confidence to the sales team for the months ahead," the company said in a statement.

The company reports that new markets, too, such as Romania and India, are showing promising signs.

"Nautor's Swan heads into 2011 with a solid order book that bucks the trend for some similar brands," the company said. "The positive outlook is underpinned by orders for 12 new yachts, which are mainly from new customers as opposed to existing owners trading up."
