Boat trailer manufacturer Phoenix Trailers announced the addition of a manufacturing facility in Fort Walton Beach, Fla.

This facility will service the southeastern United States, including Florida, Georgia, Alabama, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Mississippi, Louisiana, Arkansas and east Texas.

Among the advantages of a southern facility are lower delivery costs and greater serviceability for dealers in the South.

The Fort Walton Beach plant is being prepared for production and is expected to start operations shortly.

Currently, Phoenix Trailers has a central manufacturing facility in East Jordan, Mich.
