Pontoon manufacturer Premier Marine promoted Steve Hammond to quality manager.

Hammond has experience in several areas of Premier Marine, including engineering, product development and certification, the company said. He has spent several years managing the ISO quality management system at Premier and has been at the company for almost five years.

“After making the decision to dedicate a position solely to quality, Steve was definitely the ideal candidate for the opportunity,” Premier president Lori Melbostad said in a statement.

“Allowing Steve to take on this role and dedicate himself full time to our quality management system will allow us to concentrate on the data to provide the continuous improvement that ISO quality management systems are designed to do.”

“With our rapid-changing production environment, there are certainly opportunities for process improvements, and I know Steve will bring the dedication that this role requires,” she said. “Steve’s commitment to quality makes him the perfect candidate for this role, and I know his motivation and talents will go a long way to improve our internal processes.”

“Hard work and dedication have always been the key elements for the successes in my life,” Hammond said. “I appreciate Premier Marine’s dedication to achieve the highest of quality standards and look forward to implementing process improvements.”
