Ribcraft delivers fleet to race center

Ribcraft of Marblehead, Mass., delivered a Ribcraft 5.85 fleet to the newly formed Chicago Match Race Center.

The four RIBs will be used as umpire and support boats for the Chicago Match Race Center on Lake Michigan. Equipped with a 90-hp Evinrude E-Tec engine, the 19-foot RIBs feature a center console with front bench seat, safe pod seats and an open aft deck.

The fleet will travel extensively throughout the country in support of other regattas and events.

Sales stagnate in March

Overall boat sales in March were slightly lower compared to last year and year-over-year growth was down by just over 1 percent, according to Statistical Surveys Inc., data that was gathered for 30 states.
