Scout Boats and BoatUS have partnered to provide a complimentary year of membership to anyone who purchases a new Scout.

The partnership will start next week at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, which will run from Nov. 1-5.

The BoatUS membership includes more than 25 benefits, including a free online boating safety course; discounts on fuel, transient slips and repairs at more than 1,200 boating businesses nationwide; affordable insurance coverage options; a subscription to BoatUS Magazine; and representation on issues locally and on Capitol Hill by the BoatUS government affairs team.

It also provides on-water and on-road towing dispatch — BoatUS has more than 600 towboats and 300 ports nationwide — and custom boat graphics and lettering.

“We’re excited to partner with BoatUS to offer this free one-year membership to our customers,” Scout sales and marketing director Alan Lang said in a statement. “We wanted to offer additional confidence for anyone out on the water, and this partnership with BoatUS and everything they offer does just that.”

“Scout is one of the most forward-thinking and innovative companies in the marine industry today, and its willingness to continually improve the boating experience for its customer base is yet another way they differentiate themselves,” BoatUS representative John Bratten said.

“Our robust membership program is an ideal way to help instill even more confidence in the mind of the boater while offering discounts for necessary products and services, allowing these boaters to fully enjoy being out on the water.”
