Scout Boats incorporated a build-a-boat feature into its new website and instituted a new sales incentive for the spring months, the company announced.

"We wanted to offer our customers a chance to build their own Scout, while at the same time offering discounts as they get ready for the new boating season," national/international sales manager Alan Lang said in a statement. "Regarding sales, we're experiencing one of the best starts we've had in a long time and we're looking to keep that momentum going."

The build-a-boat feature allows customers to create their own Scout. Users can choose the model, engine and hull color, as well as select all appropriate options available to them for that model. A running total price is maintained during the feature.

Once it is completed, customers can follow up with a local dealer for inventory/ordering purposes.

As for the sales incentive, Scout is offering special boat-motor-trailer package pricing on select models now through June 30.
