Scout donates boat for auction

Scout Boats, of Summerville, S.C., recently donated a 191 Bay Scout to benefit the Guy Harvey Ocean Foundation.

The boat will be put up for auction at a fund-raising event planned for Oct. 29 at the IGFA Fishing Hall of Fame and Museum in Fort Lauderdale. The event will be hosted by Guy Harvey, with all proceeds collected to benefit the foundation.

“Our commitment to this fund-raiser goes beyond our friendship with Guy Harvey and echoes our philosophy that we need to do everything we can to ensure our oceans are sustainable and healthy for years to come,” said Dave Wallace, vice president of operations for Scout Boats, in a statement.
