Teleflex reports 2Q results


Teleflex today announced net revenues for the second quarter ending June 27 increased 5 percent to $461.7 million from $439.2 million in the same period of 2009.

Commercial segment revenues in the second quarter of 2010 increased 26 percent to $55.3 million from $44 million in the same period last year. Core revenue growth of 25 percent was the result of increased sales of marine OEM and aftermarket sales, the company reported.

Net revenues for the first six months of 2010 increased 3 percent to $882.9 million from $854.3 million in 2009.

Teleflex also announced today that its board of directors declared a quarterly cash dividend of 34 cents per share of common stock. The dividend is payable Sept. 15 to shareholders of record at the close of business Aug.13.
