Trophy's 2203 CC center console fishing boat was named Starter Boat of the Year during the recent 2011 Tullett Prebon London International Boat Show.

Trophy was the only U.S. brand recognized in the competition, the company said.

"We are extremely excited to receive this award," said Pat Blake, vice president of global sales and brand manager, in a statement. "When you consider how many boat manufacturers there are in the United States alone and then you add in hundreds of international brands - we're quite honored to be singled out."

Judges included editorial writers and test drivers from Motor Boats Monthly, a leading magazine published in the United Kingdom.

The starter-boat category was a new addition to the annual awards, recognizing the model that most effectively promotes "fun and affordable boating of the highest quality."

Trophy is a brand of Brunswick Corp.
