The first Wake Tractor WT-1 was completed and shipped from its Sweetwater, Tenn., factory just before Thanksgiving and full production began Nov. 30.

Wake Tractor is a surf/wake inboard boat targeted primarily at millennials, and it has a price point below others on the market, said Ben Dorton, brand manager of the new company.

"The first boat shipped to the London Boat Show, and the next two go to the Düsseldorf show for our new dealers to reveal to the international consumer,” Dorton said in a statement.

Dorton, himself a millennial, had a large hand in the project that he and his boatbuilding father John spearheaded.

“In addition, we have acquired dealers in nearly all major markets now, and we are working hard to ship product for shows in Atlanta, Denver, Dallas, Portland, Seattle, OKC, Austin, LA, Salt Lake, Knoxville, Nashville, Indy, Cincinnati and the list goes on," Dorton said.
