Walker Bay Boats has signed Leisure Boat UK to carry the company’s original dinghy line, which is available in sail, rowing and motored configurations.

“Leisure Boat UK is a reputable company already distributing into the small recreational boating market for close to 20 years,” Michael Carroll, director of sales and marketing for Walker Bay Boats, said in a statement. “Our original dinghy line will be a perfect complement to their product offering.”

“When we opened our boat center in Leamington Spa in 2002, we had Walker Bay dinghies for hire,” said Matt Bishop, founder of Leisure Boat UK. “They are ideal for the rental market because they are so easy to use and extremely durable. Many of our hire customers went on to become boat owners themselves.”

The Walker Bay dinghy is available in 8- and 10-foot lengths. The smaller version weighs 71 pounds and the manufacturer says it can be handled by one person in or out of the water. It also comes with a wheel in the keel to make it easier to load the boat onto a car, trailer or larger vessel.

The one-piece hull is built with seamless injection so there is nowhere for water to enter. The UV-protected hull is backed by a 10-year limited warranty.
