Electrification has been an increasingly common buzzword in the marine industry, especially in the past four to five years.

After divesting its well-known bowling, billiards and fitness brands, Brunswick Corp. emerged as a boating-focused conglomerate, with familiar brands including Sea Ray, Boston Whaler, Bayliner, Protector, Lowe Boats, Mercury Marine, and Freedom Boat Club.

The recreational marine industry is seeing advancements in lithium-ion batteries, electric propulsion and the need for charging infrastructure.
