Volvo Penta of the Americas have kicked off a social media contest that encourages boaters to submit user-generated content to its “Be a Featured Forward Driver” campaign.

The contest is one segment of “360 Degrees of Fun,” which celebrates five years of its Forward Drive. The drives, built with forward-facing, counter-rotating props matched to gasoline engines from 240 to 430 hp — have been installed in thousands of vessels since coming to market in 2015.

The Swedish manufacturer is asking for images, videos and stories from boaters that will be shared at its social media channels. Prizes include a GoPro HERO8 camera, wake board and more.

The 6.2-liter, 430-hp gasoline powerplant is the largest offering in Volvo Penta’s Forward Drive range.

“Anyone who has experienced the fun of the Volvo Penta Forward Drive … is encouraged to enter the contest,” the company said in a statement. Images and videos can be from this or past boating seasons.

The only requirement is the vessel must be equipped with a Volvo Penta Forward Drive.

The contest runs now until Oct. 15 and can be entered here. Official contest rules can be found here.

“We want to thank our customers for choosing a Volvo Penta Forward Drive to power their adventures on the water,” said Volvo Penta of the Americas marketing vice president Marcelo Puscar. “The possibilities of fun are endless, and this contest gives boaters a great opportunity to show how they’re enjoying all the versatility aspects this advanced propulsion system can provide.”
