Accmar Equipment gains UL certification

Miami-based Accmar Equipment Co. recently obtained Underwriters Laboratories certification for its shore power equipment, the company announced.

Accmar has been working for two years to obtain the certification. The UL mark means that Underwriters Laboratories has tested and evaluated the product and determined it meets its strict requirements, Accmar said.

"Not many power pedestal manufacturers on the market today can boast about their UL certification," company president Juan Pizarro said in a statement. "It is a grueling process that can take years, all with the purpose of offering our customer the benefit of a product tested and proven to be safe, sturdy and reliable."

Accmar manufactures dock equipment and accessories.
