Beneteau and Mercury announce supply partnership
Mercury Marine will be the exclusive power provider for Beneteau Antares and Barracuda series boats sold in North America. Mercury’s 3.4-liter V-6 outboards will be used, and the agreement marks the first time Beneteau is bringing the Antares range, which ranges from 21 to 27 feet, to the United States.
“The Antares and Barracuda boat lineups provide a superb option for the boater who is looking to enter the coastal/lake cruising market,” said Jean-Francois Lair, director of sales at Beneteau America, in a statement. “The Antares 23 and 27 already received a positive feedback from customers with the first sales at the Newport and Norwalk shows. Beneteau will have for the first time a FLIBS display for outboard boats. All boats will be motorized by Mercury.”
Lair continued: “Once Mercury Marine announced its new lineup of V-6 4-stroke outboard engines in Miami, we knew that it would be the perfect power for our Antares and Barracuda series.”
