Jon Persson Designs launched a company blog devoted to an ongoing discussion of new and existing boat designs, concepts and ideas by Jon Persson and of legacy designs by his father, Seth Persson.

Updates and comments will be posted as new projects develop, from initial discussions to finished boats. Open forums are being included to “crowd source” ideas for new design.

Jon Persson began learning how to design boats at the age of 12. Since 1980, he has designed all but a handful of the boats built by himself and his brother, Rick, who died earlier this year. At this time, the focus of the business will shift to design work, he said in a statement.
