BRP said today that it has appointed Olivier Pierini as director of global marketing and strategic planning for its marine propulsion systems division.
The company said Pierini is responsible for leading the division to deliver a marketing strategy that includes reinvigorating the Evinrude brand and helping to define its mission, vision and purpose in the marketplace.
The company said Pierini has extensive experience in all facets of marketing in the United States and Europe and has served in significant positions of leadership with several iconic brands. He joined BRP after leaving Nissan-Europe, where he held the positions of head of sponsorship and partnership and general manager of marketing communications.
Before Nissan, Pierini worked at Ford Motor Co., Volvo Car Corp. and the BMW Group in roles of progressive scope and responsibility, including global marketing, product strategy, lifecycle management, regional sales, sales management, dealer network development and communication, BRP said.
“We are very excited to have Olivier take charge of our global marketing efforts,” marine propulsion systems division VP and general manager Alain Villemure said in a statement.
“Olivier's extensive experience working in both the North American and the global consumer markets across a full spectrum of both marketing and consumer facing roles makes him ideally suited for this position.”
