BRP said it added more than 50 new Evinrude dealers in recent months.

The dealers, located as far south as Florida and as far north as Alberta, Canada, will offer the complete lineup of BRP’s Evinrude E-TEC outboard engines and provide service and parts on all Evinrude products, as well as on existing Johnson products.

BRP held a press event from June 12-14 in Milwaukee to unveil the second generation of the company’s Evinrude E-TEC line of 2-stroke outboards.

“Our dealers are our best ambassadors and they are instrumental to moving our company forward,” Alain Villemure, vice president and general manager of BRP’s marine propulsion systems division, said in a statement. “BRP redefined the boating industry in June with the launch of our new E-TEC G2 product; adding new dealers to our proven sales network expands the opportunity to share our newest technology with consumers as we redefine the future of outboards.”

BRP said its Evinrude E-TEC G2 engine offers a daring new look in engines. The manufacturer promises best-in-class fuel economy from its new 200- to 300-hp line, which BRP is touting for exceeding all emissions standards and offering impressive, reliable power and torque. The G2 engine warranty gives owners 500 hours on the water without required dealer servicing. The G2 goes into full production in November.
