Cook Composites and Polymers has announced a price increase of 8 cents per pound for all unsaturated polyester and vinylester resins, gelcoats and ThermaCLEAN products.

The price increase, effective for shipments made on or after Sept. 7, reflects the rise in feed stocks over the last several months, the company says.

"CCP will make every effort to diminish the impact of raw material advances where possible," said Ken Moran, vice president of sales, in a statement. "The direction of our operating strategies will continue toward seeking every opportunity to reduce expenses where we can."

Kansas City, Mo.-based CCP is a leading producer of gelcoats, resins and emulsions.
