Company offers towing-capacity app


Ever need to know quickly how big a boat your customer's car will tow?

Now there’s an app for that.

The “Towing Capacities app,” a new app for Android smart phones, will let users search all pickups and SUVs sold in North America by year, make and model, engine, transmission, axle ratio, and even by various trim levels.

Developed by, the app covers thousands of vehicle configurations from the 2005 through 2012 model years, editor and publisher Brett Becker said in a statement.

“Users will like how quickly and easily the app works and how it can help them find the perfect tow vehicle,” Becker said. “The app is a great information aid for the consumer, but it also can be a useful sales tool.”

The app costs $1.99.
