Sika Corp. announced that it will again sponsor the Sikaflex Challenge Cup build-a-boat program this summer.

The event challenges contestants to design, build and race a small boat, utilizing limited plywood, lumber and only Sikaflex-291 as the adhesive and sealant.

Prizes are awarded for first-, second- and third-place finishers in the actual sea trials.

The winner of the race receives the cup. Trophies also are awarded for best design and fastest build. Sika has sponsored the contest for more than 20 years.
