Electric Yacht opens Maryland office

Minneapolis-based Electric Yacht is expanding with a new office in Annapolis, Md.

Founder and president Scott McMillan announced the expansion initiative during the 2013 Annapolis Sailboat Show for the company that designs, engineers and manufactures electric marine propulsion.

With more than 250 installations since 2007, Electric Yacht is building a multinational network of regional offices with the Mid-Atlantic being the most recent addition.

National sales manager Mike Gunning named Bob Leichtman as the authorized dealer for Electric Yacht in Annapolis, which will cover the Mid-Atlantic market from New York to North Carolina.

Leichtman will be responsible for the territory between New York City and Maryland, Erick Schultz will cover Washington, D.C., and Mark Chevalier will cover Virginia to North Carolina.

Electric Yachts of Annapolis offers custom electric inboard, sterndrive and outboard propulsion. Solar, wind and fuel generation are also available to complement the energy management system designs.
