Enovation Controls names new CEO

Enovation Controls announced that Patrick W. Cavanagh will serve as president and CEO, effective Feb. 11.

“Pat’s knowledge of our company and the markets we serve provides the foundation to build on the success our company has had to date,” executive board chairman Frank Murphy III said in a statement. “We are pleased that this opportunity occurred at a time when Pat was in a position to lead the team forward.”

Cavanagh most recently served as the CEO of Williams Controls from 2004 through 2012. He has served on Enovation’s board of directors since 2010. Cavanagh is also on the board of the Heavy Duty Manufacturers Association and has been elected 2013 chairman of the trade group.

Enovation is the company formed from the merger of FW Murphy and EControls in 2009. The company combines FW Murphy’s full line of engine instrumentation products with EControls’ extensive engine control development expertise to provide customers with a complete solution approach for engine control, protection and monitoring.

The FW Murphy brand was established in 1939 and provides controls and displays for engine and equipment management solutions. The EControls brand was established in 1994 and is a leader in the design engineering and production of complete engine control solutions supplied to OEMs in the engine and vehicle industries.

These solutions are utilized in a variety of markets, including off-highway and mobile equipment, on-highway vehicles, gas compression, power generation controls, commercial marine, recreational marine, irrigation and water pumping.

Enovation’s headquarters is in Tulsa, Okla. The company also has manufacturing and engineering locations around the world, including Tulsa; San Antonio, Texas; Rosenberg, Texas; Grants Pass, Ore.; Birmingham, United Kingdom; Hangzhou, China; and Pune, India.
