Firm set to bid for Dometic

Private equity firm Permira is among the potential bidders for Sweden-based Dometic, the marine refrigerator maker being sold by its banks.

Banks took control of the business from buyout owners BC Partners in September 2009, Dow Jones Newswires reports.

The auction is being run by Merrill Lynch and first-round bids are due Nov. 9.

The deal is believed to be worth as much as $1.6 billion, Dow Jones reported.
