Furrion said the new Furrion Innovation Center and Institute of Technology will have a grand opening May 18 in Elkhart, Ind.

Furrion said it will give invited guests tours of the new building and offer an opportunity to see the company’s newest products.

Guests will arrive at 2 p.m. The event lasts until 8 p.m.

The $5 million center is planned to be a hub of research and development, testing, idea exchange, OEM interaction, parties, events and general excitement, according to RV Pro.

Lippert Components supplies Furrion electronics to boatbuilders and the marine aftermarket. After acquiring Signature Seating in 2015, Lippert Components also entered the freshwater boat furniture market.

Lippert Components has 42 manufacturing facilities in the United States and Canada and is a subsidiary of Drew Industries Inc., a publicly traded company that supplies components for RV manufacturers and manufactured homes.
