Gibson Fiberglass is increasing prices 15 to 18 percent per pound for all fiberglass materials, direct and multi-end roving products, as well as chopped strand BMC/thermoplastic, chopped strand mat, woven roving and all other rolled goods.

The increase applies to all shipments delivered on or after Jan. 1.

"The recent recession has been a burden on the entire composites industry, but fiberglass manufacturers have been particularly hard hit," company president Joe Peng said in a statement. "This increase is necessary to help cover the cost increases we are experiencing in these areas."
