Last year’s career day draw a good crowd of potential marine-industry workers

The IYRS’ School of Technology & Trades in Newport, R.I., will host a free career day on March 24 in Newport, R.I.

The event has been developed to connect individuals who are interested in a career in the marine-trades and composites industries. This gives potential workforce members the opportunity to meet employers from the area to learn about job opportunities and training programs.

A presentation called “Navigating Your Job Search” and a guided tour of the facilities will kick off the day and the career fair follows at 9:30. Career Day is hosted by IYRS, the Rhode Island Marine Trades Association, Composites Alliance of Rhode Island and Polaris MEP. A full schedule can be found at https://www.iyrscareerday.com/
