Lewmar names U.S. general manager

Lewmar appointed Harcourt Schutz as its new general manager for the United States.

Schutz, who will be based in the company’s Guilford, Conn., office, has been with the sailboat and powerboat hardware supplier for 13 years and was recently head of sales.

The company said the positions Schutz has held at Lewmar have provided him with solid experience in its business, products, market and staff in the United States and the United Kingdom.

“I am pleased that Harcourt has stepped forward to lead our USA-based operations and am confident that his knowledge of the marketplace and experience of Lewmar's processes will stand him in very good stead to lead the business as we push forward in the American market,” Lewmar CEO Peter Tierney said in a statement.
