Lumishore Ltd., a U.K.-based manufacturer of LED underwater lights, is establishing a U.S. operation in Sarasota, Fla. called Lumishore USA.

“Our LED technical expertise enables us to produce brighter, longer-lasting lights than our competitors, and we now have the opportunity to expand our products availability in the U.S.,” Lumishore CEO Eifrion Evans said in a statement.

Keith Wansley will head the U.S. operation. He has more than 30 years of experience in the marine industry, having worked with Raytheon Marine, Apelco and Raymarine.

The creation of Lumishore USA allows the wholesale distribution network to expand. CWR Electronics has been appointed as a wholesale distributor, joining Seawide Distribution.

Lumishore USA also appointed Bruce Hackett Co., Coast Marine Marketing and Com Mar Sales as sales representatives, with the objective of setting up a dealer network.
